Peacocks Garden is the first 10 part Block of the Month project designed by Monica Poole of Moonshine Designs.
About Peacock’s Garden. Quilt size is 72” square The techniques used in this quilt are fusible appliqué, bias work, piecing and simple foundation piecing that is used in block 8. The fusible appliqué has been stitched with a combination of blanket and satin stitch by machine. The appliqué can be blanket stitched by hand and the requirements are also sufficient for needle turn appliqué. Peacock’s Garden has the option of quilt as you go or making the quilt top only and having it professionally quilted.
Requirements for the Complete Quilt Background fabric – Good quality seeded cream homespun or quilters muslin 112 cm wide: 4.8 m Or 145 cm wide: 4.5 m Backing fabric (112 cm wide): 4.2 m Note: It is recommended that the backing fabric be a small to medium non directional print with a cream background, this way a cream thread can be used on the top and in the bobbin to avoid tension problems.
