An enjoyable quilt as you go quilt. The blocks are pieced and quilted all in the same step and each block has a different backing fabric making the quilt reversible. The quilt is constructed with the help of 1” wide binding strips which can be purchased ready made for your convenience or you can make your own. Pictured on the cover is a single bed quilt measuring 72” square, the quilt can simply be made into a queen size by adding a border as described in the pattern. Requirements are based on 112 cm (44”) wide fabrics: Fabric for strips and backing squares 13 x 50 cm pieces (3/4 y pieces) Plus 1 extra fat quarter for the strips. Front setting triangles 1.6 m (2 y) Back setting triangles 1.6 m (2 y) 1” wide pre made bias for the trams: 16 m (18 y) OR To cut and make your own trams: 1.2 m (1 ½ y) Quilt binding: 70 cm (1 y) Hobbs cotton double sided fusible batting: 2 m (2 ½ y) Additional requirements: To make your own trams you need a 25 mm (1”) Cover bias tape maker Roxanne’s Glue Baste Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat 2B lead pencil Sewing machine with walking foot, ¼” foot and stipple foot. Neutral coloured or variegated thread to blend with backing fabrics Requirements for adding a border to make the quilt a queen size Quilt top: 1.5 m (1 ¾ y) Quilt back: 1.5 m (1 ¾ y) 1” wide pre made bias for the trams 8.8 m (10 y ) OR to cut and prepare your own trams: 50 cm (3/4 y) Hobbs cotton double sided fusible batting: 70 cm (3/4 y) Cushion Requirements Strips: Left over from the quilt Base for piecing the strips, can be plain 50 cm (3/4 y) Fusible batting: 50 cm (3/4 y) Trams Left over from the quilt.
