Winter Newsletter

Welcome to another newsletter from Mallee Country Crafts!

I hope you can take some time to sit with a cuppa and relax with me for just a moment.

Well what a couple of months, of course finding white ants had attacked our front steps didn't make for a nice start to winter, but they are under control now and our woodwork has been replaced. Luckily we caught the little blighters early. The pool demolition is complete and some 50 tons of dirt was deposited in the hole. We'll wait for the winter rains to settle the earth the we can start building our raised vegie garden beds.

My next challenge was to change our old and outdated accounting system, so we are now very up to date with a computerised register and with the exception of a couple of bugs in the system.....their names are Darren and Sue....(we just need 'L' plates on until we get a handle on it) we should be able to keep our Accountant happy. Now on to what's happening in the shop.

'The Adelaide Collection', Michele Hill, South Australia

Keep a close eye on our fabric section as we will soon be adding Michele Hill's first fabric range called 'The Adelaide Collection' created by Michele Hill and Jason Yenter. Fabric will be released in Australia in Novemeber 2010. To whet you apetite go to http://www.inthebeginningfabrics.com/  and browse the fabrics. I will endeavour to get the range on our site in the next few days. Feel free to pre-order your fabric as it WILL walk out the door, no payment will be taken the order will just register your interest and once the fabrics arrive you will be contacted and offered the fabric 'first'. The fabrics will be priced at $23 per metre.

Also available for pre-order is Michele's latest book  "More William Morris Applique".  Be quick I can feel 'backorders' coming on! Michele's first book 'William Morris in Applique' is in store now, priced at $49.95.
