Welcome to Mallee Country Crafts & Gifts. You will find us situated in the foothills, south of Adelaide, in the beautiful wine district of McLaren Flat some 45 mins from our capital city, Adelaide.

We are a family owned and operated business, run by myself, Sue and husband, Darren. You will also quite often find my Mum, Margaret there helping out.
Our business name stems from my husbands roots in the Mallee, a rural region in Victoria some 3 and a half hours drive from Adelaide. Darren grew up on a wheat and sheep farm with his parents and four other brothers. The farm, located just outside of Murrayville, Victoria is still in the family today run by Darren's eldest brother.

We first opened our doors in November 2003 in a small shop in O'Halloran Hill. We quickly outgrew that space within the first 12 months and relocated to Old Reynella in October 2004.
We have relocated once again (and for the final time) to a home in the southern wine district of Adelaide where we can live and work.

We endeavour to deliver a service that is second to none. Our aim is to make you feel like you are walking into our home (which now quite literally you will be doing) and that you may enjoy your shopping and patchworking experience among friends.

We keep our patchwork classes small, no more than 8 per class, so that you may get the attention you require.

We run a number of specialty classes throughout the year but our weekly 'sit n' sews' are still the most popular of all.

If you haven't attempted patchworking or quilting before we run a 5 week beginners course. Once this course is completed you are encouraged to return and join the group on a weekly basis, where you can chose your next project and continue to learn this very special craft among some very special women.

We stock a large range of fabrics and patterns, both patchwork and embroidery.

Our giftware consists of many products that will remind you of times past including replica enamelware that your grandparents would have had when first setting up their home all those years ago. Along with lace doileys, novelty items such a cows and chickens and blue and white china galore.

Come on through and visit our website for a taste of what's in store.

We will be adding new stock images constantly so keep checking back for our updates.

Happy Stitching

Sue and Darren
